1. What is the educational eligibility criteria for CBLR exam?
    Eligibility is as below:
    1. Graduate from a recognized University
      AND any of the following Degrees
    2. Possess a professional degree such as Masters or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or Management, CA/CS/LLM/MBA/ACMA/FCMA or Diploma in Customs Clearance work from any Institute or University recognised by Government or is having atleast 2 years experience as a G Card holder.

  2. When does the form come out
    Usually in October and last date to submit form is in mid – Nov. Complete application is to be submitted in person or by Registered/ Speed Post in Form A.

  3. How many attempts are allowed for CBLR exam
    6 attempts

  4. What is the exam format and passing marks
    The CBLR exam has 2 parts:
    1. Computer-based exam
      1. Total Questions: 150
      2. Total time: 180 mins
      3. Marking scheme: Correct Answer: +3 / Incorrect Answer: -1
      4. Passing Marks: 60%
    2. Interview – Face to face viva of approx. 20 mins – Passing marks: 60%

  5. What are the language options
    English or Hindi

  6. Is any Solvency certificate required
    Yes it is mandatory, solvency certificate is required to show assets of INR 5,00,000/- issued by Scheduled Bank or such other proof acceptable to the Principal Commissioner of Customs or Commissioner of Customs, as the case may be, in terms of possession of assets of value of not less than five lakhs rupees.

    Note: Bank solvency certificate of INR 5,00,000/- issued by a Scheduled Bank / Certificate issued by Tehsildar (with proper validity) stating that the applicant is in possession of assets of value not less than Five Lakh Rupees.
